Steve Mnuchin’s wife Louise Linton is left horrified after dying her hair bright blonde at home

Louise Linton has warned people to resist the urge to dye their own hair while quarantined at home after bleaching her roots a shocking shade of platinum blonde.

The 39-year-old wife of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin took to Instagram on Wednesday to share video of herself touching up her blonde locks in the bathroom at her Washington, D.C. home.

‘Ladies & Gentlemen: Resist the temptation to color your own hair at home. I look like The Real Slim Shady,’ she wrote, referring to the rapper Eminem‘s bleached blonde hair.

At the start of the clip, Louise can be seen putting her head through a hole in a plastic bag to protect her clothes, saying: ‘This is what it’s come to.’

Louise’s desperation undoubtedly came from being unable to visit the salon to dye her dark roots amid the coronavirus epidemic.

The Scottish actress decided to take matters into her own hands, and even her dogs thought it was a bad idea. They kept barking at her in the bathroom as if they were warning her.

While captioning the footage, she imagined they were trying to talk her out of dying her own hair, writing: ‘Mom!! Bad idea! I’m really concerned about this…’

Louis was petting one of her when someone in the background asked if her head was starting to burn yet from the bleach.

When she was done, she looked in the mirror and let out a scream after seeing how bright her roots were.

The video ended with footage of Louise putting a hat on her head to cover her platinum locks after they dried.

‘I think we can all agree that, maybe, doing this at home was a very bad idea,’ she admitted. ‘Good thing I’m not gonna be seen in public for a while.’

People were certainly amused by her antics, with one commenter writing: ‘You crack me up! Best PSA out there.’

‘Been there done that girl. I admire u for posting this. Thank God for baseball caps!’ another added.

Louise, who is used to sporting a slightly darker shade of blonde, recently starred alongside Ed Westwick in the upcoming film Me, You, Madness, which she wrote and directed.

The thriller follows a sociopathic bisexual woman as she hunts down and kills men with crossbows, martini glasses, and kitchen knives before eating them.

However, like most people as of late, she has been posting videos of herself passing time at home while self-quarantining.

Mnuchin and congressional leaders engaged in final negotiations Tuesday. While the two sides had resolved many issues in the sweeping package, some sticking points remained.

‘We’re trying to finalize all the documents, going through a lot of complicated issues, and we’re making a lot of progress,’ he said on Tuesday.
